7th of October: Full Moon in Aries
The first full moon after eclipse season always hits different. The air feels charged, the heart wide open, the edges of everything a little more raw.
This full moon rises in the sign of Aries — the realm of bravery, self-leadership, and unapologetic truth. It doesn’t care for fluff or pretence. It calls the real, the honest, the part of you ready to stand tall in your own expression. Aries is the first breath of the zodiac. Without it, life itself would stall. This is pure life force, raw expression, the spark that moves us forward — like a bull at the gate, ready to charge.
It is the energy of self. Hungry, alive, instinctive. Like a newborn discovering the world, Aries knows what it wants and moves to claim it. It doesn’t wait. It acts, explores, and learns through courage and bold movement. Leadership, independence, and passion are its tools. Bravery is its language. Aries inspires, initiates, dares to be first. Its fire must be felt to be understood.
The Moon, an incredible planetary body to track, is tied to our internal waters. As it pulls the tides of the ocean, it pulls the tides within us. We shift, stir, and move from the inside out. Just as water swells beneath the soil, guiding plants to grow and reach for the light, we feel those same movements rising within. The body responds, the heart opens, and something deeper calls us forward — a reminder we often forget: we are nature, woven into its rhythm, not separate from it.
This full moon asks us to feel, to move, to let the fire rise. In raw, fearless Aries, frustration, anger, and restlessness stir. Relationships become the stage where this energy comes alive, illuminating self-leadership and how we hold space for hard emotions — ours and others’. Fire, flame, flicker. Feel it, honour it, move with it.
Opposite Aries, Libra holds the mirror. This axis teaches us how we show up, how we lead, and how we relate. Aries moves with courage and instinct; Libra reflects, balances, and calls us into awareness. Together they reveal the dance between desire and connection, action and pause, self and other.
As Venus danced across the South Node in Virgo on October 3–4, relational wounding surfaced, showing how we still react, where we get caught, and where we need to refine. It called us back to the body, to grounding, to presence, and to alignment before taking flight.
Now, with this full moon in fiery Aries, we are asked to release, to cleanse, to let go. With Mars ruling, there is extra force, extra drive, extra will — shaking us awake. Mars in Scorpio brings depth, complexity, and intensity. Hidden emotions rise, pain and pleasure intertwined, instinct and intuition entwined, shadow and desire dancing together.
With all of this moving — after eclipse season, with Mars, Scorpio, Aries, and the Moon swirling through the lens of relationships, self-leadership, and emotional fire — we are invited to step into the clearing. To untangle complexity, release confusion, and meet ourselves in neutrality, peace, and harmonisation.
It is not an easy road, but it is a necessary one. The light here is quiet yet luminous: the stillness at the heart of the storm, the strange centredness in the whirlwind, the calm that comes when fire and shadow have been seen, felt, and released.
May you continue to hear the awakening silence of a fixed spirit, and may it guide you into clarity, presence, and the fire of your own aligned power.
